'We perch on this twig that must be the end of the world for us.'

"Little Henry's Heart Is Not In The Right Place", a 20 minute dance performance, premiered at the Making New Trax Festival at MainDance in April 2007. Choreographed by Mireille Rosner, with sound design by Jesse Scott, the piece explored themes of innocence, conflict, play, and loneliness through gestural movement, disintegrating paper dresses, and a live sound score.

Inspired by the works of outsider visual artist Henry Darger, the performance featured movement creation and performance by Caillie Wallace, Kerstin Eyrich, Henna Taylor, and Julia Zennstrom, with costume design by Kim Catton. The piece was composed as a joint sound/dance exploration. Videography by Patricia Kim & photography by Elisha Clement.

I respectfully recognize that I live and thrive on the traditional, unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. I am dedicated to recognizing and challenging colonial perspectives and actions that hinder Indigenous self-determination. I welcome conversations and am keen to build relationships that put it into action in our everyday lives.
